Your Sunday reminder, how do you give yourself some loving?


PHYSICAL TOUCH:

Affection


WORDS OF AFFIRMATIONS:

Gratitude and speaking words and thoughts of Beauty.


ACTS OF SERVICE:

Preparing a nourishing cup of Grandmother Medicine Ceremonial Cacao,


QUALITY TIME:

Pj days, reading or listening to audio books



RECEIVING GIFTS:

Solo trips, investing in myself and buying small gifts.


These are some of my Love language, it sustains me and brings in more Loving gestures in return.


However as with the healthy also comes the unhealthy.


These are the acts of overindulgence to compensate for lack or loss, they fill in spaces of emptiness, where you go into an instant hit of dopamine for instant happiness.


Always maintain a balance, some days the scale will be there and some days not.


This is a reminder to always focus on healthy and when the scales tip in the opposite direction, to remember, this to shall pass and the trick is to not stay there.

Exploring love languages can enhance self-care by aligning practices with what resonates most with you. Here are some self-care techniques for each love language:


1. Words of Affirmation:


- Write yourself a letter of appreciation.

- Create a list of positive affirmations and read them daily.

- Record voice notes of encouragement and listen to them.


2. Acts of Service:


- Organize a space in your home that needs tidying.

- Prepare a healthy meal or treat for yourself.

- Set up a relaxing bath with your favorite products.


3. Receiving Gifts:


- Treat yourself to a small gift, like a book or a piece of art.

- Create a self-care box filled with things you love.

- Buy fresh flowers or a plant for your space.


4. Quality Time:


- Schedule a solo day for activities you enjoy, like hiking or visiting a museum.

- Practice mindfulness through meditation or yoga.

- Dedicate time to a hobby that brings you joy.


5. Physical Touch:


- Enjoy a massage or practice self-massage techniques.

- Wrap yourself in a cozy blanket or wear soft clothing.

- Engage in gentle stretching or yoga to connect with your body.


Incorporating these techniques into your routine can foster a deeper sense of self-love and care.
